Postponement of eFiling System Transition
This communication is to inform you of an upcoming change to the Delaware State Court’s eFiling system. It is important to note that this is advanced notice and does not reflect an immediate change.
The Court of Common Pleas transition from the current system (eFlex) to a new eFiling system called File and Serve Delaware has been postponed. The Court of Common Pleas will now be transitioning to the File and Serve Delaware system on Sunday, April 2nd, 2017.
It is the priority of the Delaware Courts to provide the highest quality service to the public and the Delaware Bar. The decision to postpone the implementation of the new system speaks to that core value. The additional time will be used to ensure the best possible user experience and smoothest transition when the new system launches on April 2nd. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.
Note: The April 2nd, 2017 implementation will only affect filers to the Court of Common Pleas. All Justice of the Peace Court filings through the eFlex system will continue to be handled in eFlex. Current eFlex accounts will not be deactivated, but the functionality to allow filing to the Court of Common Pleas will be disabled on April 2nd. A date for the Justice of the Peace Court’s transition to File and Serve Delaware will be communicated in the future.
